Chemical Synapse

A chemical synapse is a biological process by which neurons communicate with each other, involving the release and reception of neurotransmitters across the synaptic cleft. This process is crucial for the proper functioning of the nervous system. In this case, it is a metaphor for interpersonal communication between two people.
The composition is divided into two sections. The repetitive text demonstrates a broken communication line, a neural signal being sent across a synapse, unable to bridge the gap between neurons. A futile attempt at agreement and reassurance. The two eyes look away from one another, unable to see eye-to-eye.
I was trying so hard to figure out why it was happening and I didn’t understand.
